Year #2!
My last post of my 2nd year at BCCI and my last post of my 1st year as principal. Yes, there was added stress as principal, but there were also added blessings. Yes, there was added work, but there was also added joy. Yes, I felt I could be pulled in so many directions in a single day, but there were also deeper relationships.
The photo above is with an outgoing Bible teacher and some grade 12 students. Warner graduated from Wheaton two years ago. I am so thankful for his assistance with chapel this year. Notice the college choice for the girl on the right side of the photo!

Temple
In Thailand, there are many temples. They are elaborately decorated, beautiful pieces of architecture. Much time and thought went into constructing them. This makes me think of 1 Corinthians 6:19-20:
Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.
I don't go to the temple. I am the temple! How much care, time and attention do I give to cultivating my life as a sacred space, as a person of worship? Wow, that sentence convicts me! How about you? Is this an important question in your life? In light of Jesus' sacrifice, we must all consider what it means to be a temple. So I repeat, how much care, time and attention do I give to cultivating my life as a sacred space, as a person of worship? Nothing in this world is better than a God who calls himself Emmanuel, God with us.
