Traveling to Bangkok
We travel to the other side of planet earth 4 times a year (2 round trips). Here is a little snapshot into our most recent trip. I totally forgot to take pictures in the Tokyo and Bangkok airport—sorry.

We flew ANA—a Japanese airline. FYI, very good legroom for the economy cabin. Fun facts: our entire flight was during the night, and both Jeanne and I are not affected much by jet lag.
Trees!
I know this is an odd photo to include. But since the “winter” of 2023, I have been watching this building being constructed. This is a view from our condo. Look closely. Over our Christmas break, trees were added to the roof!
Nervous about anything? Try P-B-S
If you know me well, then you know about my devotion for peanut butter & jelly sandwiches. For my entire life, other than my college & seminary years, I have eaten PB&J daily, even to this day. So it should not be a surprise that I am drawn to the acronym, P-B-S, think peanut butter, not Sesame Street.
More importantly than standing for Peanut Butter Sandwich, for me it means Pray - Breathe - Stretch. Whenever I feel a little nervous, like contemplating traveling to the other side of the planet, this is what I do. Before preaching...this is what I do. Athletes often stretch and take deep breaths before competition. We also need to pray. Our world speaks of "mindfulness exercises". But we communicate with Almighty God, the one who created all things and graciously saved us through Jesus. What a blessing! Don’t you agree that we all need to pray more in the new year? May you be blessed by God's peace in 2025.
And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7
