A Dog Park
There is a beautiful dog park in downtown Bangkok. If there were no signs about dogs, one would think it is simply an exquisitely designed walkway. There is a big water feature, a great variety of plants, and meandering paths. But the signage promotes dogs. To the American, the park has shockingly little grassy areas. I guess because it is so hot (dogs are not going to want to run as much) and because most dogs are generally small, this park works for dogs. Additionally, it is quite scenic for the dog owners.
The biggest area of grass at the park:
The variety of plants takes precedence over areas for dogs to run!

Kind of funny: on the same day that I took the dog park photos, I walked over to the convention center and was very surprised by what I saw! Besides all the dogs, I was struck by the variety of dog strollers.

Is your Confession Heart-felt?
What do you repent of in church when there is a silent time of confession (if your church has this)? Do you repent each day? If so, day after day, what do you repent of? When you repent, is it heartfelt? Is it an earnest prayer showing a true expression of need for God’s grace?
Increasingly, when I repent, I want it to be a real time of vibrant prayer. I think of the three "a"s—action, attention, affection. Important: all three "a"s need to be included, not just actions (which includes speech). I consider ways in which I have a lack of attention to God's way and God's presence. I compare what I "love" or desire with how much my heart is overflowing with the love of God.
