Do you like to explore?
I originally took this “heart” photo for Jeanne. Why? She is back in the U.S. due to wedding preparations for Ellie ♥️.
I like to explore. I like to hike, and I always want to see what is around the next corner. I'm curious. But sometimes this is a problem. For instance, I recently took the train to two large city parks next to each other. It is the hottest month of the year here, and I was walking in the heat of the day. I just had this urge to walk the outer loop of both parks despite the upper 90ºs heat. It was both a struggle and enjoyable— ten miles in four hours in extreme heat (of course I took breaks numerous times). Hardly anyone else was walking in the parks at that time. Most people who were out and about were in air-conditioned shopping malls!

A Couple More Park Photos!
Regarding the flowers, I was struck with how nice phone photography can be. The second photo might not “pop”, but what did “pop” was my feeling of being in a jungle in downtown Bangkok.

Exploring God's Kingdom (How I think about Repentance)
How can you improve your "Kingdom of God eyesight"? How can you better see what God is doing in the world, what God is doing through others, what God is doing through you? Repentance. Sin blurs our vision, dulls our hearts, and weakens our spiritual strength.
First, I am completely satisfied by God's grace. Through Jesus, I am forgiven of my sin, and I am God's child. I live in freedom, hope, and a sense of call to do God's kingdom work.
Second, I am not satisfied with my response to God's grace. God's will for me is to live a holy life, to be completely committed to following Jesus. And so I daily repent of my sin. Remember this: growth in faith and holiness does not lessen the need for repentance. In fact, as I mature in faith, I see more clearly how I do not completely love God and others. Let us repent of our sin, receive God’s forgiveness, and press on in Kingdom work!
