Jeanne & I went out to dinner this week with the school’s superintendent and his family. Beautiful setting!
Meetings???
Meetings can bore people. I actually enjoy my meetings. Thus far, they are relatively short and full of action plans. It is a pleasure to collaborate with teachers to improve the school. Here’s a snapshot: chapel planning, WASC accreditation, art & music fest, school furniture supplier, interviews of potential teachers, teacher concerns, weekly teacher meetings, parent committee, individual parent meetings, BCCI leadership meeting, academic dean meetings (and we touch base a lot during the week!).
And then...meetings with the occasional student who gets sent to "the principal's office"!
Here are a few other photos: kindergarten students showing off our new welcome mat, the gift (oranges) I received from the furniture supplier, and our 10 weather forecast (I have been also following Chicago weather 🥶).

Tree in train
Bangkok has an excellent system of elevated trains that run throughout the city. I am at the train station often. Most trains don't merely have advertising, but the whole train inside and out is the same advertisement. Well, there is one train that is my favorite. It is advertising "The Arbor". When I'm inside the train, I feel like I'm in a tree (well, kind of).
Here are some flowers that greet me each morning on my walk to the school.
Older in the Faith
Recently I met a 72 year old Thai Christian who came to visit our school. It is estimated that only 1% of the Bangkok area is Christian. What a blessing to hear about her life. She spent many years working for a Thailand Bible Society. God's love, joy and peace were evident in her life.
Why do I share this? I thought about my parents and other believers in Jesus who older than me. They have so much to offer us in terms of encouragement and wisdom regarding our walk with Jesus. Those who have journeyed the life of faith before us can share a perspective that can deepen our faith. How can you listen better to those older than you? And if you are “older”, how does God want to use you to bless others?
